HTC Legend at MWC?

Monday February 15, 2010

There will be plenty of mobile phones to look forward to at the MWC. While it is unlikely that we will actually get a glimpse of this year’s heavy hitters (the upcoming HTC Scorpion, iPhone 4G and other possible dual-core devices), we are certainly looking forward to see the new Sony Ericsson Aspen with the Windows Mobile 6.5.3 Maldives update. Android devices are also expected to fill up the booths with many manufacturers’ getting their own Android prepped and ready.

We expect that the HTC booth will be buffing up the soon to arrive Snapdragon powered HTC Bravo smart phone. One other thing to look out for in HTC’s MWC lineup is the Legend.

So far, few details have been released about the details since the device was prematurely announced at a leaked document showing off the Taiwanese manufacturer’s phone lineup for this year.

The Legend is pretty familiar for HTC fans because it feels a lot like an improvement of the HTC Hero. An improvement that comes with a faster processor (a Qualcomm 600 MHz compared to the previous 528 MHz) and a better touch screen; 3.2 inches of AMOLED capacitive touch screen goodness to be exact.

The device is shaping up to be something truly worth looking forward to. And if you are the type who would like to get a great smart phone but do not have the budget for the really expensive high-end devices, then the Legend makes for a great fit. While it certainly does not match the Bravo in specs, the cheaper price tag is a significant factor.
